Weekly Roundup - 25th June

Its the end of the week so it is time to look back and see how I have doing.

First off, that Battered Hilt I have bought, well, it still isn't a blade yet. I haven't got myself to go through those three instances. Its irrational, I know, but I just don't like instancing, especially with groups I don't know. I even have issues going through with those I do know. Not sure why entirely. So I am considering that purchase a wasted one until I finally get myself sorted.

So, I am currently sitting on the following...

Horde: 23k
Alliance: 2.6k

Its only an increase of 3.5k if we are keeping score but then I have been learning something too.

Monday I spent over 1900g on herbs. I got Adder's Tongue for the amazingly low price of 14g a stack and Goldclover was below market value at around 17g a stack. In all I got 1900 Adder's Tongue and 700 Goldclover. after a lot of milling I ended up with 797 Inks of the Sea and 119 Snowfall Ink. I haven't even manage to dip into this stock yet, I am still working through a stock I built up 2 weeks ago.

So, inks aren't a problem at the moment. I am still only concentrating on the Northrend Glyphs for ease and sales are slow. I have started to make the off hand epics too and these are selling at the rate of 1-2 every other day since Monday. My Scribe has already made back the money spent on the herbs.

Pets remain a consistent seller. I have had my engineer keeping up with maintaining stock of the popular pets and I have had good sales with both a select collection from Stormspire and the Alliance. Will need to restock there soon as well.

Borean to Heavy Borean Leather is a slow sale. I keep a number up at all time but sales can be very slow. The price of normal leather is rising very high at the moment whereas the price of heavy stays low. I post all of my sales in stacks of two, mainly to aid those leatherworkers who are looking to buy to purchase the recipes.

One market I am very surprised with and will be trying to work out its swings is the bag market. During the week I am often the only seller of bags and I sell Frostweave at around 60g each and Netherweave in the region of 14g. Nearly all the money I make goes straight back into buying more stock and I take advantage of low prices. I expect the price of bags to lower during the weekend as cloth becomes cheaper so I intend to buy the cloth out, let the prices rise and go back to selling more during the week. At least, that is how I hope it plays out. Will have to see. I have been surprised of prices at times though. I normally pay up to 12g a stack of Frostweave. Midweek, I picked up a number of stacks for 3g. I'm trying to get into the idea of grabbing stock while its cheaper...

I know, I know, I have a lot of stock but then I reckon some of it is just bad stock. I need more good stock. Start whittling away the dead wood that I don't need. I have made a slow start. I am selling the Lovely Black Dresses at 50g a pop and they are moving slowly. Eventually, I'; clear more space while making money at the same time.

So, what's in the future? Well, this weekend I am a little busy, so I am not sure how much I will be getting done. I intend to lazily fly a number of mine and my GFs characters around visiting fires. It is inefficient but I find it a lazy way to make a little money but more importantly maybe put on a level or two. And I have a number of characters I will like to do that for. Beyond that, well I have some more markets I might want to look into. See what I can make and what I can get for it. And maybe use some more of my stock.

  1. Have you looked into selling the vendor pets from dalaran? In the pet shop by the flight master she sells 3 pets for 40g (at exalted discount) and fora long time I was selling them for 160g each on the AH. If you haven't yet, give your local AH a look (horde, alliance, and neutral) and see what the prices are like.

The deposit is high but if there's no competition I'd definitely get into it.

  2. I had thought about the Dalaran pets but I have been put off by the initial price and that many others have access to them too. But then some people don't consider looking where these pets come from. I shall definately have to give them a try. I have also considered purchasing the Horde tournament pets for making some capital Alliance side.
