Okay, time to go over how the last week has been.
First, let me start by saying my community sucks. I have been getting into the glyph market and boy does it just happen to be really tough. There are already several glyph sellers and a couple of them cancel and repost dropping the price by a couple of coppers, usually just after I have posted all mine up. When it started it got me a little worked up at first but now I am resigned to the fact that its going to happen.
But I have still managed to make something with it. My scribe already has more than when he started and in the week and a half I have been at this I have also purchased every Glyph Mastery book I needed as well as some Frozen Orbs for making offhands. The market is pretty fierce and herbs are seriously overpriced and in short supply. I was going to try to do this just with AH purchases but if my ink stocks get low, I am going to have to farm. I have been selling only glyphs made with IotS along with a few vellums. I have had one offhand sell (I only have one of each on the AH) after a couple of repostings.
My best seller hands down have been Netherweave Bags. I am out of stock. I went up buying stacks of cloth for 6.5g and relisting the bags for 11-12g each. Buy Thursday all the cloth had gone from the AH and now its up to 10g a stack and more. Bags are now selling for around 18g each. Going to try and sell for a little under this to see what happens. Tomorrow I will be keeping an eye on the netherweave market to keep an eye out for my usual prices to snap up cloth. I expect people who are leveling through Outland to post more over the weekened but we will see.
My leatherworker has been doing a nice business buying Borean Leather to resell as Heavy Borean. Again, there has been a scarcity of leather at reasonable prices but he did buy some heavy going cheap and relisted. Hope that turns a profit.
My mix auctioneer has been doing some good sales too. He is a blacksmith who sells rods along with a variety of pets and recipes. Nearly all the recipes that were transferred last week have gone. The pets have been a bit hit and miss. Some sold very well whereas others not so much. My best seller has been the Brown Rabbit Crate from Netherstorm. 9 sold since I started.
I have also placed a few miscellaneous items on. Things that were in storage and took advantage of people looking to buy. I haven't had much luck in the way of auditing whats going in and out but I installed Auditor on Sunday so hope to be better in the near future. But I had noted that on Saturday my balance was as follows...
Horde: 22.5k
Alliance: 1.8k
Now it is...
Horde: 19.7k
Alliance: 2.3k
So, I am down over 2k over the last week. But I did go and buy a Battered Hilt on Tuesday for 9.5k so that does put me at making around 1k a day. Hoping to do better in the future but lets just see.

Inscription is definitely an angry beast, but once you get all the recipes it's not too too bad. Just don't farm, trust me you don't want to. It'll take an entire night of farming to supply a full stock of glyphs. I know, I've done it.
ReplyDeleteWith your leather, depending on how cheap you get it, look into turning it into arctic fur. 60 borean = 10 heavy = 1 fur.
As for the bags, there is no limit to how much you can get and craft. You can list 60 and see them all sell in two days. 100% impossible to have a stokpile of trust me. I only left the market because of the long ass crafting time needed with the bolts and bags.
The Inscription market is definately an interesting one. Going to be interesting over the next few weeks how I do in it.
ReplyDeleteWith the leather... Well, I'm selling heavy borean in stacks of 2 at 10-12g each. Arctic Fur is going for around 35g each. I guess I am staying with heavy borean.
My stock in Netherweave bags are increasing and after the price hike yesterday the prices are dropping. I have a number on at different prices from when I posted at different times plus some more in stock. I am quite pleased at how they sell. I am now able to make frostweave bags and am now doing the same with them. I agree about the crafting time but usually take the opportunity the time gives me to get other things done.
