Well, I wasn't planning to post this late and wasn't planning to write this particular post either. Things didn't quite go as I planned today. Even if I didn't have full plans but there were a few.
Got home after a very very tiring day at work and was just planning to collapse in front of WoW with not much planned. That was put on hold when I found I had received a couple of parcels from my girlfriend. Very pleasing contents and that meant that I didn't get on until a little later than planned. Game time was further delayed by running auction scans.
Ran through my usual routine of tournament dailies (more about that in a later post). This meant that it was later in the evening than I had planned when I considered doing something beyond my normal routine. Recently I have been leveling 3 characters but in the last week I have started on the auction house. So instead of trying to put another level or two on my rogue, I ran through my characters and auctions.
I have been having pretty good luck with selling Lifelike Mechanical Toads mainly with the occasional sale of Lil Smoky's and Pet Bomblings. Likewise with the occasional Weapon Enchant scrolls. I buy up Netherweave Cloth if it is 4-5g or less a stack and convert it to bags.
I then had another crack at the glyph market. I made a number of Death Knight Glyphs following guidelines set out by Stockpile. I setup Quick Auctions 3 to do my postings and put up 80 glyphs in total. Going to see how they do over the next day. Need to work on inks but herb prices are a little high I think and not in particularly large numbers, at least when I have checked.
I logged to my one and only Alliance character and started working more on another project. I will go into more detail in a later post. Took me a little to get stuff done on there and then logged back to check the auctions again. Just a quick check before logging off. I am actually writing this while checking. I saw some of the glyphs had sold and thought to check for inks. I pick up 200 Inks of the Sea going for 38 gold a stack. Thats 1.9g an ink. Thought is was a good deal and went for it. I am now a little better stocked and will have to remember to keep checking. I may see about converting those into other glyphs tomorrow and expand my market a bit. But I think thats me done for the night.

On my server, horde and alliance side, the general price for IotS is about 3g so anything less than that makes me wiggle a bit. I generally don't buy plain inks for more than 3g, but I always buy no matter what. The more you get into glyphs the more you'll see that having over 1,000 inks is NOT a huge amount. Trust me.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you and your girlfriend really have a combined 60 something bank tabs filled with assorted goodies, I'm jealous. I am not however, jealous of the retarded amount of work it's going to take to organize it all once you get into the full swing of the AH game. Dear god I hope you're using altoHolic!
I managed to read a bit more of your archive today and saw about your Allaince experiment and buying inks so I was much happier at my purchases last night and more so with your comment.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'll be going into how I got to that stage in later posts and you won't be jealous of the work I did. They do need ordering more than they are and I do use Altoholic. I can't do without it. Its the first addon I look for updates for come patches followed by Advanced Tradeskill Window. But then I almost inately know where to find the stuff anyway. Its only numbers I am more concerned with.
